Sushil Kumar

Wrestler Sushil Kumar
Wrestler Sushil Kumar is the Number 1 Olympic Athlete of India, he is perhaps the most consistent Sports icon of the country having a tally of 14 Medals from Olympics, Commonwealth and Asian Events.

He is the first Indian World Champion wrestler who won the gold medal in the 66 kg freestyle competition at the World Championship 2010. Olympian Sushil Kumar is the only Indian to have won back to back individual Olympic medals.  A silver medal in the at the 2012 London Olympics and a bronze medal in the 2008 Beijing Olympics. 

Touted as the messiah for Indian Wrestling, he brought back our country on the Wrestling World's map. Sushil won the gold medal in 74 kg Men's freestyle in 2014 Commonwealth Games at Glasgow. 

Sushil Kumar was awarded with Arjuna Award in 2005. Also in 2009 he was awarded with Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award – India’s highest honour for sportsperson. In 2011, Sushil Kumar was awarded with the 4th highest civilian award Padma Shri by the then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

After conquering the world and bringing unmatched glory for the country, Olympic double medal winner, super-wrestler Sushil Kumar has taken on the fight in a new avatar. He is out with an all-new initiative with a charity foundation, SUSHIL 4 SPORTS, which helps aspiring Sports Athletes from all fields to get the opportunity to gather required support for them. The foundation helps them in their training, expert guidance and opportunities and eventually help them realise their hopes, ambitions and aspirations.
